The NICKBAN Command

Level: 100 and up

Syntax 1: /msg Goddess BAN channel [level] nick [duration:units] [reason]

Syntax 2: !BAN [level] nick [duration:units] [reason]

Use: Used to place a person on Goddess's internal ban list. It remains there until it expires, or until someone removes it using the UNBAN command. This command assumes that the user is on the network, so Goddess can calculate the nick!ident@host for you, and issue the appropriate BAN command for you. The level, if included, is the minimum access a person must have on the bot in order to be able to remove it; if not included, that level is the level of the UNBAN command. In duration:units, the duration is a number, and the units is one of: seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. If the duration:units is missing, then the ban is forever.

Example 1: /msg Goddess nickban #girlchat 150 Jane 3:weeks far too pretty for us
(this places a 3 week ban, with a reason, and can be removed sooner only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is 150 or larger)

Example 2: !nickban 150 Jane 3:weeks far too pretty for us
(this places a 3 week ban, with a reason, and can be removed sooner only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is 150 or larger)

Example 3: /msg Goddess nickban #girlchat Jane 3:weeks far too pretty for us
(this places a 3 week ban, with a reason, and can be removed sooner only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is the level of the UNBAN command (usually 100) or larger)

Example 4: !nickban Jane 3:weeks far too pretty for us
(this places a 3 week ban, with a reason, and can be removed sooner only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is the level of the UNBAN command (usually 100) or larger)

Example 5: /msg Goddess nickban #girlchat Jane far too pretty for us
(this places a permanent ban, with a reason, and can be removed only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is the level of the UNBAN command (usually 100) or larger)

Example 6: !nickban Jane far too pretty for us
(this places a permanent ban, with a reason, and can be removed only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is the level of the UNBAN command (usually 100) or larger)

Example 7: /msg Goddess nickban #girlchat Jane
(this places a permanent ban, with no reason, and can be removed only by someone whose access level with Goddess in that channel is the level of the UNBAN command (usually 100) or larger)
